1995 > Reform of the Electoral Law > About

The Lebanese Center for Policy Studies held a one-day conference on "Reform of the Electoral Law for the 1996 Parliamentary Elections" on July 27, 1995. The conference was attended by political scientists, lawyers, members of parliament, political activists and journalists. Conference participants debated the advantages and disadvantages of various electoral models and discussed ways to improve the fairness of elections in Lebanon.

This conference led to the creation of a task force consisting of political and legal experts who would meet on a regular basis to discuss the reform of the parliamentary electoral law
