The Fifth MENA Development Forum (MDF5) Within the framework of the Middle East and North Africa Development forum launched by the World Bank in 1997, The Lebanese Center for Policy Studies (LCPS) is proud to be hosting the 5 th MENA Development Forum in Lebanon Under the High Patronage of the President of the Council of Ministers HE Mr. Fuad Siniora. Lead by LCPS, the forum is scheduled to take place in Beirut in 2006. The overall theme for this year's forum being “Reforms in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region" promising to be more action oriented the forum will focus on implementing reforms in the MENA region. MDF partners are leading thematic programs on judicial and legal reform; local governance reform and community empowerment; institutional reform for private sector development; trade reforms; SMEs, entrepreneurship, corporate governance and the investment climate; and gender. The forum promises to bring together a vibrant and diversified audience from the MENA region, Iran and Turkey as well as over 500 top-level experts from the government, the private sector and civil society.
